Waldrop House of Music, Inc. was founded by Ronnie and Susie Waldrop in 1994. A church musician for over 40 years, Susie is the church organist of First Baptist Church of Hendersonville, NC, a position she has held for 26 years. She was a private piano and organ teacher for over 30 years, and became a Rodgers sales associate, working for the Rodgers representatives of Western NC, Music Masters. In 1991, Ronnie retired after 28 years, from a supervisory position at E.I. Dupont, Inc. These life experiences and God’s divine guidance led Ronnie & Susie to begin Waldrop House of Music. Ronnie handles the technical and runs the day-to-day business, and Susie is head of the Organ Sales and education department.
We began our business and were awarded dealerships for Western NC by Kawai Pianos and Rodgers Organs. Over the past 10 years, we have placed hundreds of Kawai and other pianos in private homes, churches, and institutions of higher education. Among our customers are the Grove Park Inn (7’ Kawai Grand Piano), UNCA, Montreat College, Henderson County Schools, Ridgecrest Conference Center, and numerous area churches.

Our Rodgers territory, which began with 15 counties in Western NC, was expanded twice to include the tri-cities of Tennessee, Upper South Carolina, and several counties in Virginia, Georgia, and Kentucky. Hundreds of churches have placed their confidence in Waldrop House of Music and our SC division, Rodgers Organs of the Upstate, to provide digital organs and pipe combination organs to lead their congregations in worship.

In 2004, Rodgers Instruments and Pinchi Pipe Builders of Foligno, Italy invited us to an all expense paid visit to the pipe factory in Italy. The Pinchi Family has produced quality tracker pipe organs for three generations. In a new alliance with Rodgers, Pinchi is building pipe organs to be interfaced with Rodgers Organs. As the only Rodgers dealers invited to visit the Pinchi family and factory, we came away with a renewed commitment to faithfully represent these two great church organ builders, and to further develop the pipe combination possibilities in our area.

We are humbled at God’s grace and His provision for us. May we continually look to Him to carry this business to the place He has chosen, and may His light in us touch all who come across our paths on the journey.
