Our Staff
Beethoven
joined the Waldrop House of Music team in November of 2005. In addition
to his duties as “vicious” guard dog, he is the official greeter
of our Hendersonville showroom. His hobbies include: jumping, dancing,
racing around the showroom, and welcoming students to lessons. In his
spare time, he is an aspiring instrument model, and enjoys helping his
mother with knitting. Recent accomplishments include house-training and
achieving a weight of 4 pounds.
Amy joined the Waldrop House of Music team in March of 2007. Amy received her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Stetson University and Masters of Music in Piano Pedagogy from Converse College. She has taught piano for over fifteen years to students of all levels, from beginner to college. She has maintained a private piano studio, in addition to teaching at Brevard College and Blue Ridge Community College. In addition to her classical repertoire, Amy enjoys playing New Orleans Rhythm and Blues piano, inspired and influenced by artist George Winston. She is currently trying her hand at the cello, when not attending to the loves of her life, her four wonderful children: Evan, Mara, Remi and Aliya.
Music has been a hobby and love throughout her lifetime. She studied both piano and voice and participated in choirs since a young child. Presently, she sings in the Worship Choir and plays in the Handbell Choir at First Baptist Church of Hendersonville. The Lord has blessed Becky with two wonderful daughters, Joan and Jane, and two beautiful grandchildren, Bethany and Drew.
